What do you take home in Korea?
Enter your gross pay. See an estimate of your monthly pay after income tax, National Pension and insurance under the 2026 rules, and compare the 19% flat tax that some foreign workers can choose.
Estimate only, not tax advice. It follows the statutes and notices listed below, read on 27 Oct 2026, and leaves out many things your payslip includes. Your employer's withholding and your year-end settlement (연말정산) decide the real numbers. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
Your pay
What this does not include
- Card, medical, education, rent, donation and pension-savings deductions and credits, and the child tax credit. Using them can lower your tax at year-end settlement.
- Bonuses and allowances that are withheld differently, severance pay, stock pay, and second jobs.
- Monthly withholding tables: your payslip tax can differ from this annual figure and be corrected in February.
- Employer-side costs, workplace accident insurance, and non-resident tax status.
- Rounding of each premium to the won as the agencies do.
2027: what is decided and what is not (as of 27 Oct 2026)
- National Pension employee share rises to 5.0%: set by the 2025 amendment.
- Health insurance rate stays 7.19%: decided on 8 Sep 2026 (reported by Yonhap).
- Flat tax for foreign workers rises from 19% to 21% and the entry deadline moves to 31 Dec 2029: this is only the government's tax-revision proposal. The National Assembly vote is expected in December 2026. It is not law.
- Long-term care and employment insurance rates for 2027 were not confirmed; the 2026 values are used.
- We will update this page after the National Assembly votes.
